(a prelude to Thanksgiving!)

Meet Timmy (my scarecrow in training) and Onyx while they collect the falling leaves. They have already harvested all the crops so now it is time to have a little fun. We used to rake the leaves  into piles and play in them until Dad would say "enough"; and, then we would rake them up again so he could burn them.  I loved the smell of burning leaves when I was a kid. Now-a-days, we can't do that anymore where we live. It is now illegal to burn leaves. So sad! Is it illegal where you live?

Timmy and Onyx just love playing outside in the fall. They are real buddies and are seen everywhere together. Onyx helped Timmy chase the black birds out of the corn crops all summer long. 

Looks like it is time for a break to share a snack with a friend. Looks like Mr. Pumpkin is also having a good time. J

Well, looks like Onyx has had a very busy day. Time to take a nap. Timmy loves to listen to his kitten purr. He knows Onyx has had a fun day with him and that makes him very happy. Looks like they both have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving season.
