Welcome
to my
Thanksgiving Page!
With so many things to
give thanks for,
and so very much to
share,
we are today reminded
that the most precious
blessing of all...
is having each other.
Happy Thanksgiving!
I
know each and every one of us has something to be thankful for.
This is the time of year when we sit down with loved ones,
family and friends to share a special day to give thanks for all
we have.
Actually,
this is something we should do everyday but sometimes we just
get too wrapped up with our daily responsibilities.
I
think if we take just a few minutes everyday and think about
what we have.. a roof over our heads, good friends, our health,
freedom, whatever makes you happy and feel loved, then we would
celebrate Thanksgiving every single day.
I
know that no matter how our lives can be at times that there is
something, no matter how small it might seem, to be thankful
for. We all take so much for granted and it's usually the
simple things that make us the happiest and those are precisely
the things we forget in our rush through our daily lives.
So,
don't be a "turkey"
(You
know what happens to them.)

TURKEY COOKIES!
(see picture below)
Oh, and speaking of turkeys..... here
is an idea for you to make your own turkey that is yummy to eat!
Take your favorite cookie (like Pecan Sandies) and on the top of
one spread some chocolate frosting. Set a chocolate covered
cherry in the middle, flat side down for the turkey's body. Put
a chocolate chip with a little frosting on the flat side to the
front of the cherry. This will be the turkey's head. Then put a
burnt peanut underneath the head, again using the frosting to
attach it vertically. Now, take another Pecan cookie and
spread frosting on the flat side and attach it to the back of
the cherry. Add 5 pieces of candy corn along the upright
cookie in a fan shape to represent the feathers. Isn't it cute?
These make cute decorations to set at each plate at your dinner
table. Everyone will love eating these turkeys and Thomas
Turkey won't mind one bit.
If you are making a
Thanksgiving Quilt, here is my square for you to add.
Please accept these cards
as a gift from me.
I got this cute lil snowglobe from Miriam.
